22squared Promotes John Stapleton to CCO

Full-service agency 22squared promoted John Stapleton to the role of chief creative officer, effective immediately. In the position, Stapleton will now be responsible for the agency’ overall creative brand. 

A 15-year veteran of the agency, Stapleton receives the promotion from the role of executive vice president, chief creative director. He originally joined the agency as an executive creative director back in 2000, originally working out of the Tampa office while playing an instrumental role in helping to build the agency, including  re-positioning and re-branding the entire agency of Westwayne. While with 22squared he has worked with clients including Denny’s, The Sports Authority, Florida’s Natural, Southeast Toyota, Buffalo Wild Wings and the Tampa Bay Lightning. Prior to Westwayne and 22squared, Stapleton served as a senior art director with Fahlgren for over twelve years, working with clients including McDonald’s, Florida Tourism and Napa Auto Parts.

Additionally, 22squared also announced a series of other senior-level promotions, all effective immediately. Kevin Botfeld will make the jump to executive creative director of the Tampa office from his role as vice president, creative director. Genna Franconi, formerly vice president, director of strategy, will move to the account team as team account director. Saya Heathco moves from vice president, group strategy director to director of strategy. Meg Jokinen received a promotion to account director from her role as vice president, management supervisor. And lastly former associate media director Anne DiNapoli is now director, paid social and digital.
