The Ad Council has named Y&R global chief executive officer David Sable as chair of its board of directors.
Sable succeeds Mattel CEO and former Google president Margo Georgiadis in the role. Among other responsibilities, Sable will chair the organization’s largest fundraising event this fall, the Ad Council’s 2017 Public Service Award Dinner.
“David Sable’s expertise in the advertising industry and integrated communications is unparalleled, and his dedication for giving back has been unwavering,” said Ad Council president and CEO Lisa Sherman in a statement.
