McCann North America snagged Droga5’s Sean Lackey to fill a newly-created position, chief growth officer, as the agency looks to grow its footprint nationwide.
“Sean is the most natural hunter. He does really well opening doors, and he did a good job getting clients without pitching them,” Chris MacDonald, president of McCann Worldgroup North America, said.
At Droga5, Lackey was the head of business development and, according to McCann, he was responsible for building up the clientele and capabilities for David Droga’s agency, contributing more than $120 million in additional revenue over the last four years.
MacDonald said Lackey, taking part in McCann’s roughly three-month hiring process, was chosen from “a long list of people” eager to join the award-winning agency.
