Lori Senecal, Global CEO of CP+B, Will Step Down at the End of 2017

Her 2-year tenure will be remembered for American Airlines win

Senecal was named global CEO of the agency in 2015.

CP+B Global CEO Lori Senecal will exit her role at the end of this year.

Senecal took on the role of global CEO of MDC Partners agency CP+B in March 2015, which was at the time, a new role for the agency. Prior to that, Senecal served as president and CEO of MDC Partners Network–a role she continued to hold as global CEO of CP+B.

“Lori has been the perfect person to help CP+B become something new–a global agency with the flexibility and nimbleness of an entrepreneurial start up,” said CP+B co-founder and chairman Chuck Porter in a statement.

One of the highlights for CP+B under Senecal’s global leadership was landing American Airlines in October 2015. CP&B snagged the account away from TM Advertising, which had worked with American Airlines for 25 years.

“Now that the structure is in place, Lori and I are developing the next-generation leadership team,” Porter’s statement today said. “We are taking the time to make really careful and thoughtful decisions about the leadership of CP+B going forward, and we’ll be prepared for a smooth transition when Lori retires at the end of the year. She’s a truly fantastic partner and friend, and the agency is smarter and more effective thanks to her leadership.”

That new generation of leadership already seems to be taking shape, with Danielle Aldrich recently being elevated to president of CP+B West, which includes CP+B Boulder and CP+B Los Angeles. Aldrich previously served as one of two managing directors for CP+B Boulder. Aldrich was also credited with helping land the American Airlines account as well as Hershey’s.

“Each of our 10 offices are led by entrepreneurs who are passionate about building CP+B, in their markets around the world. We have found that by elevation regional leaders, we can better share resources seamlessly across offices in each region, to bring more top strategic and creative talent to our client partners,” Senecal said in a statement. “Creating this expanded role for Danielle is a natural step as she embodies the CP+B DNA, always looking to uncover the toughest business challenges, and solving them in the boldest, most inventive ways.”
