Droga5 has added a new role to its senior leadership team. Today the agency announced Amy Avery as its first chief intelligence officer, effective immediately.
Avery brings with her years of experience in data and analytics. In her most recent role Avery headed up J. Walter Thompson’s worldwide analytics practice, and before that she was JWT’s head of data and analytics. Avery previously spent four years at BBDO, where she helped set up the agency’s analytic offerings. Over her career Avery has worked with clients including AT&T, FedEx, Starbucks, FEMA, Merrill Lynch and others.
Avery will oversee Droga5’s data strategists and will report up to global chief strategy officer Jonny Bauer.
“As clients continue to ask us to go further upstream into product and service innovation and further downstream into performance marketing, it became clear Amy was the right person to lead intelligence at Droga5,” Bauer said in a statement.
In the new role Avery’s main responsibility will be to elevate the importance of data for clients by both identifying new and exciting opportunities and by focusing on “outcome-based planning, measurement and optimization recommendations.”
