Blue Acorn, an ecommerce firm focused on data, design and optimization, has been acquired by Beringer Capital for an undisclosed sum. The agency’s leadership will continue to operate independently, and Blue Acorn founder Kevin Eichelberger will stay on as CEO.

Prior to Blue Acorn, Beringer’s most recent investment was the purchase of Adweek from the publication’s previous owner, Mediabistro Holdings, in July 2016.

Based in Charleston, S.C., Blue Acorn describes itself as a data-driven ecommerce firm focused on design, development and optimization.
