72andSunny Continues Its Global Growth With New Offices in Singapore and Sydney

72andSunny is expanding into the Asia-Pacific region with new offices in Singapore and Sydney. "Since our inception, access to talent has always been our motivation for growth," 72andSunny founder and creative co-chair John Boiler said in a statement. The new Asia-Pacific, or APAC, offering will be led by partner and managing director Chris Kay, who formerly led the MDC Partners agency's Los Angeles office, and newly hired executive creative director Johnny Tan. In March, 72andSunny promoted Jenny Campbell to managing director of its Los Angeles headquarters, announcing that Kay would move on to a then-unspecified international leadership role. Kay arrived at 72andSunny at the beginning of 2013 after two years as managing partner of BMF Sydney and formerly served as head of marketing for the Manchester City F.C. Premier League soccer team. [kickout id="1"] A native Singaporean, Tan arrives at 72andSunny from BBH China in Shanghai, where he has spent the past dozen years and most recently served as chief creative officer after working at the New York offices of BBDO and Y&R. "Joining the 72andSunny family and taking a swing at a new way of thinking on home turf is the perfect combination of opportunity, excitement and a little bit of nerves," Tan said. "I can’t wait to get started." Also named to key leadership roles for the APAC team are director of talent and operations Ngaio McCreadie and strategy director Mollie Hill. A native of New Zealand, McCreadie formerly served as partner and strategic business lead at BBH London and regional account director at BBH Singapore. Hill is a strategist from Tasmania who has had stints with W+K Brasil, JWT in Singapore and Australia, and The Monkeys in Sydney. A "one office, five doors" approach will unite the APAC office with the agency's existing offices in Los Angeles, New York and Amsterdam, with which it will collaborate on behalf of brand partners and "continue to build on 72andSunny’s mission and brand citizenship practice, participating in and supporting initiatives that expand and diversify the creative class, as well championing the company’s purpose of being a platform for personal growth and creative self-expression," according to a statement from the company. Key founding clients and project partners for the new Sydney and Singapore offices include Google, Dropbox and eBay, which named 72andSunny as its global lead creative agency in March after a review.
