As previously noted, we Bostonians tend to freak out over even mildly titillating ad campaigns. So this TV commercial from Mike 93.7 FM (the “anything goes” station where Old Blue Eyes can follow Led Zep) was bound to cause some controversy. Complaints are mounting, and the marketing director at the station is currently going with the “It’s supposed to be goofy” defense. Still, in the post-Imus era, the best defense is probably a complete lack of offense.
