Suicide: yeah, still not the best topic for ads

The line between provocative and tasteless is always thin, but it's safe to say the topic of suicide turns a lot of people off. Yet advertisers continue to return to the suicide joke. Diamond monger R.F. Moeller is the latest. It's running a print ad in the Minneapolis weekly City Pages (full ad here) that shows a guy pointing a gun to his head because he regrets dropping too much dough on diamonds at a competitor. Yikes. Needless to say, the company is getting an earful on its Facebook page. Via @aeklund.
