State Farm driving app auto-replies to texts

State-farm-on-the-move

Whether you're an oblivious Welsh teenager or Heidi Montag's plastic surgeon, it's never a good idea to text and drive. State Farm reminds us of this, not with a gory PSA but with a mobile app called On the Move, which auto-responds to texts while you're driving. The app is free to anyone with an Android smartphone. (Those on other systems, you're on your own.) Currently, the app must manually be turned on—which half defeats the purpose. But State Farm says it's working on GPS functionality that will automatically detect when you're driving and activate the app accordingly. Gizmodo via The Boston Egotist.
