Star of Cure insurance spots is a real tosser

Cure

The guy in these commercials by Gate Worldwide for Cure, a nonprofit auto insurer, is such a tool. In the spot below, he gets pissy at a rival company's customer-service rep because he doesn't qualify for a discount without a college degree. "Is this being recorded?" he asks. "Good. Because you should hear how ridiculous you sound." Hey, dropout—the chick on the other end of the line doesn't make the rules. You'll be manning the phone bank soon enough, unless you get back to Jerkwater Community College and finish that degree. Plus, you're calling on an iPhone, and you seem to own a nice car—put a crowbar in the wallet and pry a few extra bucks loose. In another spot, after the jump, the rude dude manages to make insurance execs seem sympathetic by bugging one at his office. That's you in 15 years, pal—doughy, balding stuck in a dead-end job and taking lip from young hipsters. Come to think of it, that sounds a lot like me right now! This rant is not very fun anymore.
