See HBO's 'Boardwalk Empire' Vintage Subway Train in Action New Yorkers take a journey through the past

Laughing Squid has posted video and some photos of the vintage subway train that HBO is running on weekends on the 2/3 line in New York City this month to promote season two of Boardwalk Empire. It certainly is a curiosity, making New Yorkers look like tourists as they whip out their phones to take pictures. Over on Flickr, Eric Westpheling has also posted a set of pics, showing some great detail. One of his photos explains that this particular train went into service in 1917 and was retired (until now) in 1969. All photos here by Scott Beale/Laughing Squid. More after the jump.
