Schick gets metaphorical about shaving

We have nothing against metaphors. We do,
however, have a thing against metaphors that are taken too far. Take the Web site for Schick
Quattro for Women that’s been up for a few months: www.holdonladies.com. It basically takes the
Schick Quattro, a four-blade shaver, and turns it into a race car, and while it’s
rather cool-looking—for something that’s meant to remove hair,
anyway—we could do without the avatar offering “tubside assistance” or the link
to “Quattro dealerships,” which is nothing more than a map of the U.S.
