Ric Flair wants to take care of your money

Ricflair Just in time to remedy the nation’s home-loan crisis, former pro wrestler “Nature Boy” Ric Flair has apparently launched an Internet-based financial services company and hired South Carolina’s Gillespie Agency for promotional support. The whole thing could be a put-on. But like the “sport” itself (and most things in life, actually), it’s more fun to believe it’s real. Flair’s catch phrase, if you can call it that, is “Woooooo!” Gillespie spells it that way, with six o’s. (Flair uses five o’s on the Web site.) There’s plenty of footage of Rick in his heyday on YouTube. Here’s a wrestling-themed “Real Men of Genius” spot; Flair’s not in it, but it’s amusing. Would you apply for a mortgage from a 16-time WWE world champion? Woooooo, yeah!
