Here are two very different ad pleas on behalf of our blubbery deep-sea buddies—and I'm talking about whales, not those rum-soaked charter-boat captains in the Florida Keys. The first ad, by Cake for the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society, features a model smearing red all over the place and a tub of gory, chopped-up whale parts. (It argued for keeping the International Whaling Commission ban in place—and was successful, though it's impossible to say if they ever saw the spot, or hired the model to slap a few coats on their drywall).
