Porn star’s winning wine not all about the packaging
Porn star Savanna Samson can boast some intriguing er, talents, on her résumé (at least based on a cursory review of her official Web site, which will probably get me fired). Now, she can top off her CV with the entry “wine merchant” after introducing her brand of red wine, Sogno Uno, last month. The 2004 vintage may seduce shoppers with a label of Samson in a see-through gown, but it turns out the vino is more than just a gimmick. Wine guru Robert Parker gave it a score of 90-91 out of a possible 100. Thanks to the glowing endorsement, Samson has sold all 400 cases she ordered for the initial launch and is planning to introduce a white wine later this year. Smart packaging aside, it’s just good research that got the job done. Samson enlisted the services of Robert Cipresso, vintner to the Vatican. Hmmm, boasting a porn star and the Pope on your roster—does that qualify as a client conflict?
