Poke asks for videos from would-be interns

Poke

Résumés are so passé. Poke New York is ditching the old cover letter, résumé and book routine in its search for interns. Instead, it will choose from videos that candidates upload to Vimeo. "Introduce yourself! Showcase your skills! Shave your cat! Whatever it takes. (No RickRolling pls)," the digital shop implores. These kinds of open pitch videos, of course, can go awry. Poke knows this more than most. Its managing partner, Tom Ajello, played the starring role in Agency.com's ill-fated Subway video eons ago. Advice for would-be interns: no fist-bumping, either.
