The One Club has been bitching that D&AD ripped off its bronze Clio-winning “claw vending machine” idea for this year’s D&AD student call for entries. Troy Longie of Mono in Minneapolis thinks that’s funny, since he and Doug Mickschl created a claw vending machine poster (shown here) for The Minneapolis Show’s call for entries way back in 1997, when they were working at Periscope. “The poster won a bronze pushpin in The Minneapolis Show the following year,” Longie says.
