Nestlé Clarifies: Pedobear Is Not Our New Advertising Mascot Company pulls Instagram photo from Facebook
The only thing creepier than the context surrounding Pedobear is the amount of times he shows up in otherwise legitimate products and services. This time it's Nestlé, which had to pull its first official Instagram photo (left) from its Facebook page after people observed that the bear in it looks a lot like Pedobear (right). "The picture is not Pedobear," a rep says. "We had never heard of Pedobear. But when the possibility of its similarity to the so-called 'Pedobear' was raised with us, we immediately removed it." This follows Cuddle Bear's appearance, uninvited, in Apple's App Store last July. (That should have been obvious to them from the start.) And then there was this gem from March of last year. Seriously, everyone? Get it together. If more companies would start hiring people under 35 again, we wouldn't have to go through this every six months. As for Nestlé, hopefully they've learned their lesson and will just take pictures of their breakfast like everyone else with Hipstergram.
