'Mom, Please Marry Dad!' Pleads Child on Rochester Billboard Father ropes kid into a familiar out-of-home stunt

In a twist on the typical paid-media marriage-proposal theme, Joe Ferrari (vroom!) popped the question to Laurie Guidice, his girlfriend of six years, on a billboard near Rochester, N.Y., that has a picture of their 20-month-old son, Louis, saying, "Mom, please marry Dad!" She said yes, but it's not like they really need more time to get to know each other better. Why he didn't just propose via an infographic like everyone else, we may never know. Actually, Banksy might have a point when he rails against outdoor ads pushing unwanted messages on us without asking our permission. He was criticizing corporate advertisers, but I find cutesy, hyperpersonal oversharing by average Joes a lot more annoying than most commercial signage, some of which I can really get behind.
