Mariners introduce the Double Play Twins
As the major-league baseball season gets under way, Mariners shortstop Yuniesky Betancourt and second baseman Jose Lopez are early-season MVPs in Seattle, at least as far as the team’s ad campaign goes. The pair are introduced in a new spot as the “Double Play Twins” (see the fourth spot down), a takeoff on the Doublemint Twins from the famous ad campaign. Betancourt and Lopez train together, eat together, and yes, ride on a tandem bicycle together, to the mock disdain of their teammates. Heartwarming. The campaign is by Copacino + Fujikado in Seattle.
