Making money off your cell phone

Cellphone_3Alexander Graham Bell would be proud. Not only would he marvel at the reach and versatility of his invention, he could have multiplied his royalties in perpetuity. Two new services are becoming available that enable the average joe to make money from images captured and transmitted via cell phone. With the first one, users can literally phone in images of breaking news (for which they would be paid). The second one encourages more creativity in that it solicits original work created by the “caller” for which that person can charge others to view. Too bad we can’t ask them, but one does wonder what Joseph Pulitzer and Louis B. Mayer would think.
