Look at Häagen-Dazs's Awesome Moon-Shaped Ice-Cream Cakes Design agency delivers a real treat
The ice-cream-cake moons, with real craters, that British design agency Doshi Levien made for Häagen-Dazs are some of the coolest (no pun intended) design/food hybrids we've seen in a while. OK, fine, I intended that pun. The designers said they drew inspiration from Le Voyage dans la Lune and Armenian surrealist Léon Tutundjian's relief work, but that's just artsy-fartsy pandering. I think the real reason they did this was because, in their words, "We never had a design meeting before in which we ate the prototype." More images below. Via Laughing Squid.
