A little MTA humor at this dark hour
We’re going to blog from home this morning rather than walk 195 blocks south in this weather. Gothamist, naturally, has some of the best NYC transit strike coverage going, and they’ve even got some non-strike MTA comedy posted. Like this humorous sign advertising its Lost Property Unit. Says the post: “If we take the sign and its charming clip art to heart, the MTA thinks you will be losing your: Cobra (yes, an actual snake); Prosthetic leg; Computer mouse; Dentures; Big-ass boom box; Crutch—’cause you wouldn’t notice that it’d be hard to get out with only one crutch; Bling.” They’ve also got this Reuters photo up in which a transit worker has some fun with the MTA’s tagline.
