Once-adversarial New York Press film critic Armond White may have liked Eddie Murphy better in Norbit than in Dreamgirls. (White hilariously took Dreamgirls’ alleged show-stopper, “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going,” and nicknamed it “The Stalker’s Anthem.”) But most people are going with the flow and suggesting that Murphy’s latest fat-suit comedy may be hurting his chances for an Oscar this Sunday.
