The key to any successful event: sex huts

Worldcuplogo“The World Cup. Now with sex huts.” That is not the official tagline for next year’s World Cup in Germany, but it could be. Dortmund, one of 12 host cities, is frenziedly building wooden sex huts with the aim of encouraging discretion among prostitutes and their clients. There’s a joke to be made here about balls and scoring, but we’ll leave that up to you. According to Reuters, “experts estimate as many as 40,000 prostitutes may travel to Germany to offer their services to fans during the tournament.” To make them comfortable, “Dortmund plans to arrange the Dutch-designed huts ... in an area with condom machines and snack bar.” Like a highway rest stop, but cooler. “We don’t want a situation where prostitutes and their clients disturb residential areas,” says an official. Only in Europe would this be a concern. If nothing else, Cup organizers could mention these huts in their marketing materials. (Cheap, plentiful sex does sell, after all.) And who knows, maybe sex huts will eventually come to America. The World Series could use some shaking up.
