Kevin Bacon loved playing an obsessive fan
Entertainment Weekly has an interview with Kevin Bacon about shooting the fantastic Logitech spot (from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners) in which the actor plays his own biggest fan. He worked hard to made the character likable rather than creepy and , he says—and he was impressed by all the Kevin Bacon paraphernalia, which he didn't have a hand in. "The art director put that stuff together. I had nothing to do with that. It blew my mind. I mean, I walked into this house and I was like, Oh my god, you gotta be kidding me. There was one little thing, I don't know if you see it in the commercial or not, where they had taken this series of little diagrams of my hairstyles, from the '70s, '80s, and '90s. It's just so silly. I loved it." It sounds like there's a lot of amusing unused footage just waiting to be unleashed on YouTube as well.
