Junkbot struggles to adapt in the digital era

Steve the robot

Steve the Robot, a clunky bucket of bolts cobbled together from obsolete technology like TV-VCR combos and over-air antennas, sulks his way through this U.K. clip for the i-Can Easy HD Freeview box. If only he could dispense ice-cream like that gizmo in the AMP Energy juice spot, he might escape the scrapheap. No dice. But, as subjugating humans and ruling the world is the true prime directive for all robots (and some especially vindictive smartphones), Steve probably relives his '80s rampages nightly in glorious Betamax, with Flock of Seagulls providing the soundtrack.
