‘Hire Gary’ is now ‘Hired Gary’

Hiredgarynet Late Friday, we heard from Gary Radke, the Wisconsin marketing exec who posted a billboard in his town last July, promoting his job search. Fortunately (especially considering the billboard was costing him about $800 a month), Gary writes that he’s been gainfully employed for about seven months as director of marketing for a Green Bay, Wis., realtor. As for the billboard’s return on investment, the job was a direct result of that part of Gary’s job-hunting effort, which also included the (still-active) Web site hiregary.net. Gary reports that the general manager of the office where he works called him after seeing the board.
