Healthy pork rinds? You be the judge
To me, pork rinds are synonymous with unhealthy. Unnatural also comes to mind. But lots of people love cooked pork skins and now Evans Food Group has crafted Baked! Pork Rinds, a "healthy" snack. "Consumers today are extremely health conscious yet demand great tasting snacks," said Alan Sussna, president and CEO of Evans Food Group, in a statement. "Baked! Pork Rinds allow consumers to continue to enjoy the great taste of pork rinds and maintain healthy lifestyles." The new product has "half the fat per serving of their fried counterparts." What's next? Healthy bacon? I can't wait.
