Google Packages Year-in-Review Video With Zeitgeist 2011 A salute to the year's biggest stories (and Google+)
Google Zeitgest 2011 is out—a guide to the year based on how the world searched the Internet—and the company has included this year-in-review video in the package. Directed by Scott Chan of Whirled and set to the Mat Kearney song "Sooner or Later," it features many of 2011's biggest news stories, videos, obituaries and other viral content. It's a nice look back. The only downside is the rather clumsy images of people sharing all the stuff on Google+, which of course, not as many people actually did as Google would have liked. By Google's accounting, though, Google+ was the second "fastest-rising" search term of the year, after Rebecca Black. How modest of them! See the full top 10 here.
