Giant Hot Wheels Ramp at Indy 500 Looks Scary as Hell

I guess I'm a little obsessed with this Hot Wheels thing. As mentioned in Thursday's Ad of the Day story, Mattel is building a giant replica of an orange Hot Wheels ramp at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and will send a life-size version of a Hot Wheels car careening down it just hours before the Indy 500 a week from Sunday. Picking up speed, the car will shoot down a straightaway and then attempt a new world-record jump by a four-wheel vehicle. What the 90-second spot didn't show you was the ramp itself—that's because it's still being built. Check out the photos here of the work in progress. This thing just looks nuts, does it not?
