Having brought the mighty Pacific Gas & Electric Co. to its knees, Erin Brockovich has now turned her attention to ridding New Zealand of stupid advertising copy. The 47-year-old activist recently took exception to an appliance retailer’s print ad, which read, “Government says fridges are better younger. Just like women really,” and got the ad pulled. “I expressed my outrage and my disappointment in them for running such an advertisement. I demanded its retraction and they agreed to do so,” she says.
