Cliff Freeman & Partners might not be the agency that springs to mind when you think of cutting edge. Still, the shop wants to get in on the trend of having conversations with customers. Its new Web site takes this perhaps a step too far. It turns its eponymous founder into an IM bot that supposedly "learns" as it converses more. Maybe. I confess a slightly irrational antipathy for bots, which remind me of 2002.
