It would almost be better if, like her 30 Rock persona, Tina Fey’s commercial debut had been in a low-budget sex-line ad. Because at least that would merit a laugh, unlike the stunningly drab bank spot below, which helped launch Fey’s screen career. “In 1995, we cast a terrific young Second City cast member for this spot,” writes Purple Onion Films in the video description. “It was her first commercial. She was very nice, very nervous, and very funny.”
