Caulk the wagon for an 'Oregon Trail' movie
Video games rarely inspire great movies, but as the trailer below shows, we could obviously expect wonderful things from a film adaptation of Oregon Trail. I mean, how could you go wrong with a game where the most deadly villain is dysentery? Unfortunately, the trailer is fake, put together by the comedy crew at Half Day Today (with music by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, whose hit song "Home" is apparently the official soundtrack for western expeditions). I have to say, I'm a little sad that we won't actually get a movie with lines like, "You will die on this trail — just like old Poop Face!"
