Since we’re doing such a good job salting the earth with ads, it’s time to try the skies again. Nowadays we’re using “Flogos,” a modern take on skywriting that combines “a mixture of soap-based foams and lighter-than-air gases such as helium” and shoots them out of a retooled artificial-snow machine in the shape of popular logos (peace signs, sure, but also corporate identities). These things generally float at around 200 feet or so, but they can apparently rise as high as 20,000 feet.
