This ad, promoting Howard Stern’s upcoming show on Sirius, has been out for a while. But black activists in Chicago are getting around to being upset about it, taking exception to the “Let freedom ring” line and the raised fist image. “To take this phrase made popular by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in the fight for freedom and justice and trivialize it in such a way is both disrespectful and unacceptable,” the Rev. Michael Pfleger said.
