Audrey Tautou choo-choos for Chanel No. 5
PopWatch thinks the extended version (above) of the new train-themed Chanel No. 5 spot, featuring Amélie's Audrey Tautou (and directed by Amélie's Jean-Pierre Jeunet), goes on a bit too long. And they're right. But I still don't think we get nearly enough of Audrey's naked writhing. Yowza. Still, the two-and-a-half-minute version does take too long to get where it's going (by ad standards, anyway), and uses too much conventional "romantic" imagery along the way. (It screams for an overhead shot of the train going through a tunnel.) But that's probably why there's also a 60-second version. Also check out the making-of video below.
