Public relations fiascoes don’t get much sillier than the one that hit the San Francisco 49ers last week, in large part because it was perpetuated by the NFL team’s own PR department. The now well-known videotape that team PR director Kirk Reynolds produced to show players how to handle the media violated what I would think would be a PR 101 rule: Assume that sooner or later everything (especially something shown to an entire NFL team and staff) is going to fall
